Abstrak

This research is undermined by the phenomenon of staff lack of work spirit caused by the internal locus of control factor that has not been implanted in the staff and the lack of extrinsic motivation received by the staff. This research is a study with a quantitative method with 33 samples as the object of research which are all permanent officials of the Drinking Water Company Tirta Nauli Sibolga. Data collection in the form of observations, interviews and the dissemination of questionnaires.

Processing questionnaire data using the help of the SPSS 25 for Windows program. The analytical technique used is double regression analysis. The f test analysis in this study is used to analyze interdependence between variables simultaneously.

The results showed that there was an influence between the internal locus of control and extrinsic motivation on the working spirit. The conclusion of this study is that the nternal locus of control and extrinsic motivation jointly or simultaneously have a significant and positive influence on the working spirit of the staff member of Perumda Drum Water Tirta Nauli Sibolga, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
