IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NORTH SUMATRA ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY STUDENT'S SPECIALTY AND TALENT APPLICATION USING QUICK SORT AND BINARY SEARCH ALGORITHM

Abstract

Interests and talents are a process that is inherent in college students, and the process contains students' data incorporated into a container. (unit kegiatan mahasiswa). The process in the management of talent and talent at the Islamic University of North Sumatra is still being done manually. So in the process of managing member data is still a manual recruitment by filling out forms with paper forms and storing member data in cabinet cabinets that occupy a fairly large physical space. Besides not being flexible and space-consuming, the other problem is that when one day you want to search for a member's data, it will take quite a while to find the data in a manual storage space. Therefore, solutions are needed to solve these problems.

The research is focused and aims at designing web-based student talents and talent applications using Quick sort algorithms to perform data sequencing and Binary searches to conduct data searches on North Sumatra Islamic University Student Talents and Talents applications.

The final result of this research is the application of fine-tuning and talents of students of Islamic University of North Sumatra which is expected to facilitate the management of data members of each student activity unit.
